BU wins 3rd game of Brazil tour 84-83 over Lupo/Araraquara

Bradley went to 3- on their tour of Brazil last night. They are now 2-0 in the Copa EPTV de Basquet tournament. Taylor Brown's tip in of a miss by Sam Maniscalco as time expired gave Bradley the win.
Sam Maniscalco had 22 points (5 three-pointers)
Chris Roberts had 17 points
Taylor Brown had 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals
Dodie Dunson had 16 points

Bradley plays Paulistano (1-1), Friday 8/14 at 6 pm CDT.

Bradley Braves leave today (8/6/09) for Brazil.

The Braves will depart for Rio de Janeiro Thursday, Aug. 6, and will return home Aug. 17.
A day after arriving in Brazil, Bradley will play a warm-up game Aug. 8 (2 p.m. CT) against Fluminese, which currently is tied for fourth among five teams in the Carioca division of Brazil’s regional pro leagues.After spending four days in Rio de Janeiro, the Braves will head inland to São Carlos, a city of approximately 220,000 and 140 miles northwest of São Paulo. The COPA EPTV de Basquete tournament is an eight-team event that includes five teams from Brazil’s top professional league, two second-division clubs and the Braves. The tournament will begin with three rounds of pool play and Bradley has been placed in Group 1 with two-time tournament champion Araraquara (2001, 2004), Paulistano and XV de Piracicaba.
